Awkward and Awesome Tuesday!
I know that everyone and their dog does an "Awkward and Awesome" post (love reading the Daybook's!) but I have had so many awkward and awesome things happan lately that I can't help but jump on the bandwagon...
Awwwwkward
- Laying down to take a nap and my bed frame breaks. Completely.
- Squishing my stress ball and having it explode. Everywhere.
- Carrying 2 gallons of milk and a half gallon of ice cream in less than 30 degree weather, fingers turning purple. And you drop the milk. And the carton breaks. And milk splatters. Everywhere.
- Getting to said dance class and your fingers balloon up like sausages as the blood finally returns. And having someone ask if you're pregnant. (Ummm.....yep! Take a look at my belly! Nine months, can you believe it!)
- Having sausage fingers six hours later. (Hey lady, what's wrong with your fingers? Are you okay? Yes...Yes, I am, thank you.)
- Exuberantly waving at someone who you thought was your friend...and then realizing that you've never seen them before.
- Quickly looking away from said person but realizing too late that they noticed...and awkwardly walking past them.
- Forgetting to wear a slip with your see-through skirt. And having to walk through the entire library. In that same see-through skirt.
- Falling asleep 8 times during a group project.
- Singing your lungs out, twirling in front of the mirror, and pausing to have a casual conversation with yourelf in what you thought was an empty bedroom...Only to discover that someone was sleeping in that same room and your blasting voice woke them up. (Good morning, sunshine!)
- Running in 16 degree weather and being so cold that you don't realize you're drooling.
-Finals.
Awesome!
- Finding your lost ballroom shoes in the Lost and Found...I love you, dear altrusitic, kind, amazing unknown soul out there! I could kiss you! (Oooor not.)
- Having your TA tell you that they trust you to make all of the needed revisions on the two huge papers that determine your grade, and that they'll bless you with a good grade because "you're a good student." Highlight of my day.
- Having your TA tell you that "you're a good student." :)
- Learning how to Tango. Oh yess. This one's a very close second.
- Doing the splits in jeans and heels after learning the Tango, and not having your pants rip.
- Waffle parties in dance class.
- Getting a group project (almooost) done a week in advance.
- Seeng pictures of puppies online and remembering how much you love them. (Alright, maybe that should qualify as awkward....)
- Special goodies on your door everyday with supportive and encouraging messages about finals.
I'm sure I could think of a million more things to add...but that just might get awkward.
