Big Time...Rush?

Okay, so yesterday I went to the fair! It was so much fun, and I had such a great time with some friends that I don't seen as often as I would like. It was so great to see them, and I am grateful to have such awesome people in my life!

So, when we first got there, we looked at all the pretty animals. I love animals so much, I don't know what draws me to them, but I truly can't help it! They just suck me in, every. single. time. There were two 2-week old goats there, and goats are seriuosly the cutest aniamls on the planet. Seriously! They are like little puppies yet like miniature horses at the same time. They love to cuddle, and have such silly personalities! Just look at him:

Gosh I love goats!

But anyways! We also saw turkeys and pigs and cows and ...drum roll please....the world's largest steer! He was HUUGE, almost like a dinosaur resurrected from the past with fur and giant horns. It was crazy. He cost a dollar to see him, and I found that out AFTER I had already seen him. The guy collecting money just let me walk on in, and then walk on out and leave, without ever saying anything. After I brought mis amigos back with me to see him, I noticed you had to pay...so, as guilt sunk in, I got to fork over a whole 100 pennies. booo. He was worth it though:) I've decided I am going to have a farm when I'm all grown up, equipped with lots of baby goats and other little critters of the sort. YAHOO!

After the animals came these little suckers...
Yes folks, you are correct. Deep Fried Oreos.

Blech. They weren't horrible, but I don't think I'd like to eat another. Maybe it was the knowledge of what I'd put in my body or something, but my stomach and them never became the best of friends. Shucks.

But here's the real reason we went...get ready for it....it will blow your mind...

OH YEAH!
I had no idea who they were before last night....okay, so I knew they once had Jordin Sparks on their show, but that's about it. It was one interesting experience, to say the least! We got in line about 2 hours early (after being calmly escorted through the "emergency exit" doors by a kind fair worker..I must say though, those Alarm Will Sound signs are rather deceptive..) along with all the other screaming girls and their parents. We actually got a super great spot in the standing room section, but after an hour of having my guts squished in the middle of a giant sea of people, I had to escape. After way too many hours of waiting, the show began. OH MY GOSH. Just playing. ;) Their music was....interesting. However, what really got me laughing were their coreographed dance moves. So funny! Those definitely brightened my day. If you haven't seen them, you should, because it was HILARIOUS! ;)

To top off the great day, we got to ride on the sky line ...you know, the thing that looks like a ski lift? It was terrifying, but so worth the fear. I love begin afraid of heights because it gives me something to conquer, and i think it's coming along quite nicely. It must have been inherited, because my papa suffers too. Go figure!

However, despite the amazingness of the animals and that Big Old Rush from the concert, we saved the best for last.....Kareoke! Suprisinly, those people could sing! Saieed signed up to sing, but they ran out of time:( I would have died to see that! Not literally, duh, but you get my point. ;D

Well, my day was great, and I hope yours was toooo! I wish I could have gone to the beach with my amazing family, but it was great to see my long lost amigos as well!

Keep on smiling!

love,
emily
